Flock Cameras Are Putting Us All at Risk

The Bay Area is home to thousands of Flock cameras, and our local billionaires spent millions to put them there.

  • Privacy: Flock cameras read your license plate to track your movements and store the data for long periods of time, creating a detailed record of your location history.
  • ICE Access: SFPD claims federal agencies like ICE don't have access to Flock data, but they've been repeatedly caught not upholding this promise.
  • Officer Abuse: Data from Flock cameras has led to wrongful arrests, profiling, and stalking ex-partners by police officers.
  • Limited Benefits: There's no substantial evidence that ALPRs effectively prevent crime, despite Flock's unethical attempts to prove otherwise.
